Day 26 - Little Rock, AR to Russellville, AR

For the first 55 miles of this ride, I felt fantastic! My butt was rested, not sore at all. And the terrain was reasonable. Then we hit Jean Petit Mountain at noon in the midday heat... Most people got off their bikes and started to walk but I decided I was going to ride up it no matter how many times I had to stop. I finally made it to second lunch at mile 62 but afterwards I was totally over the ride; the heat had sapped me of all my energy and was making me nauseous as well. But the name of this game is to keep on keeping on, so I pushed and pushed until I rolled into the host site.

The view from the top of Jean Petit Mountain was worth the climb.

After dinner almost everyone walked over to Sonic for some ice creamy treats! Jimbo, open those eyes buddy!

The Catty Corner: As we were climbing Petit Jean Mountain I turned around to see Erika falling into a ditch. When I looked around a second time I saw Erin fall into the same ditch even harder. I'm officially dubbing our threesome "The Goon Squad".
